Seventeen years of pro football caught up to quarterback Y.A. Tittle as he sat on the bench throughout the second half of his final game, a 52-20 loss to the Cleveland Browns at Yankee Stadium. The New York Giants won only two games that season, but fans remember “YAT” better for leading the team in its glory years – three consecutive Eastern Division titles in 1961, 1962 and 1963. A few even remember what his initials stand for: Yelberton Abraham.
